My Grizzly G0440 cyclone refuses to start after going unused during the winter. When I press the starter, the motor spins up, but the over-current protection kicks in and shuts it down again. Holding the starter down, gets the motor going at fair speed, but it never enters the run state.

I checked both the run and start capacitors, and the centrifugal switch. Everything looks fine. Grizzly wants me to pull the motor.

Got any ideas?

I eventually figured this one out. The problem was caused by a bad control board. The voltage transformer goes bad after a good number of years. Grizzly knows about the problem. New versions of the board have a better quality transformer, which should last a lot longer.
